J.NUNN. An initial and a moon crater... Behind this enigmatic pseudonym lies Justine Tornay, a talented singer and trumpet player who studied jazz at the Haute École de Musique (Lausanne). But the Valaisan artist is much more than just a band, as her various experiences (Etienne Machine, Dean Alamo, Meimuna) and her pronounced taste for musical experimentation prove.

Skilfully mixing trip-hop and electronica codes and inspirations, she considers herself influenced by musicians such as James Blake or Björk. But when you listen to her music, two elements immediately stand out and demonstrate the strong singularity of her universe: her assertive and very specific voice, as well as the clever use of her flugelhorn. These attributes have already enabled Justine Tornay to win the Cully Jazz Festival's "Prix Mentorat" in 2022 and to launch her J.NUNN project in 2023, supported by the Blizzard Audio Club label.

A first single will be unveiled in spring 2023, followed in autumn of the same year by an EP. Promising, powerful and... lunar.
